Books have always been part of my story. Becoming an author has been a wild ride, but damn, I’m glad to be here.

In my youth, I tossed around different career paths before settling on pre-med during my undergraduate years. After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Biology however, I decided becoming a doctor wasn’t right for me. I ended up getting a Master’s in Education, and became a secondary science teacher. I taught for four years before getting burnt out (teachers are the o.g. super heroes) and struggled to find joy in what I was doing. Resigning after the end of my fourth year meant it was back to the drawing board.

The possibility of self-publishing hit me like a freight train and I haven’t looked back since (shoutout to the Self-Publishing Formula Podcast by Mark Dawson and James Blatch). I love what I’m doing and am excited to see where this career takes me.

My first book is slated to come out in July of 2022. It will be the first of a five book, new adult, fantasy series. The series is titled The Chronicles of Kamore and follows a caravan of magical performers trying to save their people from the oppressive military in the capital. It includes trapeze acts, the importance of friendship, some romance, and overcoming everything despite the odds against you.

I live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota with my husband, our dog, and two cats. If I’m not reading or writing, I’m probably on a trip or outside. My favorite activities include hiking, kayaking, and going on adventures with friends and family.
